Learning a new language like Spanish can never be easy. You may need help from Spanish language teaching kits that you can buy online or, better yet, hire a teacher or enroll into a class that teaches Spanish as a second language to non-Spanish speaking individuals. However, another method of learning the language is actually learning Spanish in a country whose native language is already Spanish. Some suggest learning in Ecuador while others recommend people to Learn Spanish in Mexico. The primary reason why they suggest these places is that these two countries are foreigner-friendly. This means that when you go to Mexico or Ecuador and are unable to speak the slightest bit of Spanish, the people of these countries will be able to guide you wherever you need to go because there is also an abundance of English-speaking people living there. Not to mention that the quality of Spanish they have is just as good as other countries mainly because they are well-versed with the various dialects of the Spanish language.

Financial and Social Disadvantage of Homeschooling

2011
01.29

Many families choose homeschooling their children over sending them to public or even private school. While there are many advantages to keeping your children home for their education, there are significant drawbacks as well. One main disadvantage of homeschooling is the amount of time the parent needs to devote to the education and socialization of their child.

In many areas, homeschooling can cost a parent up to $400 per year for the curriculum to teach each child in order to meet state regulations. Time needs to be devoted to lesson plans, the education of the material, and required outings. When not focused on the coursework, itself, the parent still has to ensure that the children are socialized adequately for their age.

To provide all the education plus the socialization opportunities for a child, a parent may be spending almost every waking moment in the presence of his or her child. This may cause the social isolation of the parent for a good many years. All these factors must be taken into consideration when choosing homeschooling over traditional education.
